When we say “comprehensive” we mean it. Our multi-specialty team are trained and certified in physical medicine, family medicine, functional medicine, chiropractic care, physiotherapy and medical weight loss. We believe in providing treatment that is all-natural and non-invasive. While we may focus on treating a specific body part, we believe that healing the whole body is important for complete well-being and a better quality of life. Our practice treats patients of any age, including infants, teenagers, adults and the elderly.

I was born in Los Angeles, to wonderful loving parents who encouraged me to strive to be my best each day. I graduated from a magnet silver seal high school and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Cal State Dominguez. I then went on to graduate from the post-baccalaureate program for Physician Assistant at Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science.
I was that child who at an early age knew that I wanted to be able to help others when I grew up. I was always drawn to science and space in school and becoming an astronaut with special emphasis on delivering health care in space to other astronauts seemed like the perfect career; Having a father who worked in the Aerospace industry probably helped to stimulate my desire to work as an astronaut and ultimately for NASA.
Unfortunately my childhood asthma derailed my dream of becoming an astronaut so I reset my sights on providing health care to my community, which turned out to be more rewarding than I could have imagined. I enjoy every minute of every day, performing the services that I have been trained to do in a conscientious and caring manner. I have worked in Urgent Care, Orthopedic/Physical medicine, and general practice for many years. Meeting new patients and seeing their lives change continues to motivate me every day.
My hobbies include photography and being a Lakers Fan. I think Kobe Bryant was one of the best players of all time…and Mexican food rules!
Coming from a family of ministers and computer software analyst, Dr. Collins knew he wanted to be either a minister or computer software analyst. Dr. Collins ended up being a chiropractor, which explains why he shows the passion/concern to help his patients live healthy lives, and if they are not, let’s get to the root of the problem to determine, why not?
Dr. Collins received his first degree with a bachelor of Science, Biology from Morehouse College, and a Chiropractic degree from Pasadena College of Chiropractic in 1984. He later went on to study on functional medicine at Functional Medicine Institute. Dr. Collins has been in private practice for over 32 years formerly with Collins Chiropractic Group. In 2011, Dr. Collins joined with Harbor Comprehensive Health so that he could offer an integrated approach to his patients for the treatment of spinal and extremity related conditions. I love to work to patients to help them reach their true health potential. I am very fortunate to be able t work with the medical staff providing this unique approach for health conditions to south bay and harbor area communities.
Dr. Collins has a special emphasis in the treatment of musculoskeletal orthopedics, neurological injuries and other chronic conditions.
DR Collins is a certified disability evaluation 1992, a qualified medical examiner for the state of California 1992. His post graduate education involves, functional medicine, Cervical and Lumbar spine conditions and we as the biomechanical links to lower back pain and lower extremity dysfunction. Dr. Collins is a member of the California Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association. He lectures extensively around the country on reversing diabetes through functional medicine as well as cost containment in health care cost through Chiropractic.
Dr. Collins is motivated by a quote from Thomas Edison: “The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.”

I attended Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition. With the hopes of advancing my degree, I decided to move to the United States.
I settled in southern California because I had set my sites on attending California State, Long Beach. I concentrated my studies in the areas of nutritional science, clinical nutrition therapy, community nutrition, and food science; I also enjoyed a variety of supporting coursework in related disciplines.
With a passion for health and nutrition, having studied both technical and advanced nutritional courses added to an extensive training in functional medicine, I am able to offer a different and complete approach.
Great medical office and staff. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I did their weight loss program and really appreciate their professional and personal attention. I also saw them for chiropractic visits for the bulging disc in my back. Thanks to them I have been able to continue to enjoy kayaking, hiking and camping. I highly recommend them.
